The Quick Zip - Replacement Zipper Heads
Description
When the pull pops off a tall boot, the zipper itself is usually fine. The slider has worn loose or come away from the teeth, and the standard fix at a cobbler is to cut out and restitch the entire zipper. The Quick Zip replaces just the slider. Loosen the thumbscrew, set it over the teeth, tighten it by hand, and the zipper runs again. No sewing, no tools, no week without your boots.
Each slider comes with its own cord pull and a soft, grippy tab that's easy to find with gloves on. The set covers small, medium and large zipper widths, so one kit handles field boots, paddock boots, half chaps, jackets and tack bags. Keep a few in the trunk and the next broken pull becomes a two-minute fix in the barn aisle rather than the end of a lesson.
It works when the teeth and the tape (the fabric strip the teeth are sewn into) are intact. If teeth are missing, or the zipper has torn away from the boot, the zipper itself needs replacing.

Questions
Will this fix my boot zipper?
If the slider came off, cracked, or stopped closing the teeth behind it, in most cases yes. If teeth are missing or the zipper has pulled away from the boot's seam, no. That needs a full zipper replacement from a cobbler.
Which size do I need?
Match the slider to the width of your zipper's teeth. The right size sits snugly over both rows and closes them evenly as you pull it. If one feels loose once tightened, try the next size down.
How do I fit it?
Loosen the thumbscrew so the slider opens. Set it over both rows of teeth near the bottom of the zipper, tighten the thumbscrew firmly by hand, then run it up and down a few times to make sure it closes evenly.
Can I take it off again?
Yes. Loosen the thumbscrew and lift it off, which makes it easy to move to another zipper or swap to a better-fitting size.
Which set should I get?
The 6-piece set covers a single repair with spares in every size. The 18-piece set is the one for a tack trunk or a barn with several riders, and it works out to far less per slider.
